Molecular sieve desiccant are synthetic crystalline aluminosilicates zeolites and are used as a dynamic gas drying media for the purification of gas and liquid.
The internal structure is comprised of smaller pore cavities that are arranged in a distinct pattern. These are internally connected and are of uniform sizes that are measured by diameters in angstroms.
Molecular is used as a desiccant that only allows the adsorption of molecules that are of the same size or smaller excluding larger molecules. These characteristics have the ability to rapidly adsorb water vapour and maintaining high adsorption efficiency at high temperatures.
Molecular sieves can adsorb water vapours up to approximately 20% by weight and maintain very low dewpoint (-50°C for 10% by weight of adsorbed water).
