Kapton Tape & Kapton Dots – High Temperature Tape for PCB & Electronics
Kapton Tape and Kapton Dots are based on DuPont™ Kapton® polyimide film and are designed for applications requiring extreme temperature resistance, electrical insulation and outstanding dimensional stability. The tape is coated with a clear silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive, ensuring reliable adhesion even under severe thermal conditions.
Kapton tape withstands continuous temperatures up to 400 °C and only begins to char at approximately 800 °C. Its wide operating temperature range from –8 °C to +370 °C, combined with low static charge and excellent electrical properties, makes it ideal for demanding industrial applications.
Adhesive Kapton tape is a high-temperature insulation and masking tape with exceptional resistance to thermal radiation. It is widely used for masking gold edge fingers and edge connectors during soldering and reflow soldering processes within the PCB assembly and electronics manufacturing industry.
